This week hadn’t been as productive with my writing as I would have liked. I have however managed to keep this blog going. I tend to always manage to start off new adventures well but sometimes tend to quickly tail off while spinning lots of plates. I have been led to believe 21 days is habit forming number needed. I’m on 5. I have other streaks, brain training app currently 7 days and meditation 4 after recently starting. None of this will get me where I want to be. The obvious one is spending time on the book every day. I had recently read of someone who wrote every day for 65 years. So I need to step up and add another habit to the growing list. The book has a start, a middle and an end, so committing to a number of words probably won’t cut it. The work I have now is corrections, tweaking, and additions around parts of the story. I even did nanowrimo, several years ago (See link). It’s basically a commitment to write a book in a month, On November 1, participants begin working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 PM on November 30. The book was rough but one I plan to revisit. So think it needs fixed time to move it worked. So starting tomorrow I will every day do a minimum of one hour. Which doesn’t seem a lot, but it’s surprising how time does disappear during a busy day. I was writing this at 10.30 yesterday!
